Hello friends. After several months of hard work and planning I am pleased to release the first painting in my latest portrait series “Portraits of Canada”. The first oil painting in the series is focused on my home Province of Ontario and is titled “Loyal She Began, Loyal She Remains.” It is 24” square, painted in oils and features gold and bronze leaf gilding.

Without getting too deep and still leaving you places to explore, the painting is a tribute to the cultural, historical and geographical landmarks of both Ontario and Canada as a whole. It also references classical portraiture in several ways – I will leave it to you to find them.

This is the first in a series in which I will highlight all the different cultural and geographical regions of Canada from the West to East Coast through the classical portrait. Within Canada’s art history we do not have a strong foundation in portraiture. I plan on correcting that as well as creating a legacy project for myself.  I think in these times… ESPECIALLY these times… I am more grateful by the day that I was born and get to live in our Democracy and Commonwealth. I would also like to create something that unites us a country and celebrates our differences rather than focus on the divisions.

There are two editions of this print available.

The first is an open edition and is unsigned. The price  is $155.94 CAN and includes taxes and a flat global shipping price. To support our Country and people $10.00 from each print sold will be donated to a local Charity tied to the Province / Region of the painting sold.

The second is a closed edition, signed by Brent Schreiber and limited to 100 copies. The price  is $199.99 CAN and includes taxes and a flat global shipping price. To support our Country and people $10.00 from each print sold will be donated to a local Charity tied to the Province / Region of the painting sold.

 Each print is 20” square (22” square white border for framing). My vendors use acid-free archival matte paper and inks to guarantee that your art print lasts a lifetime without fading or loss of color. All prints ship within 3 - 4 business days in durable cardboard tubes with one global shipping price.
