Hello friends. I hope the warmer weather and the start of June have been beneficial. May was a busy month here and there are some events I’m excited to share with you. I received the best gift to start June. Recently I sent a print of PORTRAITS OF CANADA - Loyal She Began, Loyal She Remains to the Office of the Premier of Ontario (equivalent to an American Governor).
You never expect anything back but I received a very kind supportive letter this week from our Ontario Premier the Honourable Doug Ford. I want to personally thank Premier Ford for taking the time to respond and I hope the print finds its way to a good place to hang. The cool things I get to do. That are supported and made possible by all of you. THANK YOU. The work continues, I'm keeping up the hustle and getting the work into BIG HANDS. I was presented quite the opportunity and I got to go on a wee bit of a cross Canada jaunt. Between May 22nd – 29th 2026, I had the privilege of traveling to and experiencing Newfoundland on a painting workshop along with 10 other fantastic artists. We were led and organized by Pete Ryan, National Geographic photographer. Denise Antaya, internationally recognized landscape painter led the painting workshops and plein air instruction. I feel very blessed to have been able to take part in this endeavour as I have never been to the East Coast of Canada. We had folks from across North America and ages from early thirties to mid seventies. There were life long professionals along with one brave soul who just picked up a brush months ago. It was a pleasure to paint, share fellowship and experiences both personal and professional with all of them. I can't say enough about our two leaders Denise and Pete.
