THe MALE MUSE - 33 CONTEMPORARY OCTOBER 2025

Hello friends. I am excited to announce that I will be taking part in 33 Contemporary's October Online Exhibition "The Male Muse". The show's focus is the male figure and the part it plays in contemporary art. So much attention has been placed on the female form in  the art world - both in appreciation and commerce. Putting the show's focus on the male form and what it expresses is important as well. I'm honoured to have been asked to contribute. I'm also grateful that the show will be covered in the October issue of American Art Collector Magazine.

I will have two paintings in the show. The first is Omega Alpha which was created specifically for this exhibition. Part self portrait. Anatomy study. Social commentary. Affair with Downtown Reykjavik. Exploration / forecast of the future. 100% me. An older but always a favourite painting - Listen 06 was also requested and will be exhibited as well.

You can see the entire show by following this link THE MALE MUSE. If you have any questions you can contact myself or message 33 Contemporary. Purchases can be made directly from the exhibition website. Thank you for your continued support and I hope you can take a moment to give the male form a little more appreciation.

NEW USA BORDER DUTIES, ShiPPING, AND ART

I know we all have been dealing with uncertainty over the last few months due to the global economy. A question as well that affects all of us is shipping into and out of the United States. Even more with the ever changing rules, the removal of the small business exemption and new 35% US import tariffs.

A lot of fear and mixed messaging has caused many Canadian artists to decide not to ship into the United States for the foreseeable future. I wanted to find out for myself and ran an experiment.

There is a provision in the new duties that exempts original artwork. Using the Zonos Prepay app I went through the steps to ship a painting across the border - I have family in Chicago. No duties were applied. I shipped it through Canada Post and it arrived in Chicago in 9 days with no additional charges or hold ups.

If you are an American citizen AND customer there will be no additional charges added to any of your orders. You will not see any extra fees on delivery or hold  ups with the new cross border duty charges.

As always yours in service and making sure your needs are met. Brent Schreiber.
